There a few ways to reach the Kyoto & Osaka area, but most arrive via flight into Osaka Itami Airport (ITM), Kansai International Aiport (KIX), or the Shinkansen high speed bullet train from Tokyo. We personally flew into ITM and then took the bullet train back to Tokyo!
